Day 1 ~ Arriving in peace & flavor

Upon your arrival in Andalusia, where you will be personally welcomed by Jan Gerard, we will travel to the idyllic Lecrín Valley: a green oasis between Granada and the Mediterranean Sea. Here, the pace of life naturally slows down. White villages, citrus groves, and the scent of orange blossoms welcome us.
We begin with a relaxed lunch featuring local products: homegrown olive oil, seasonal vegetables, and Andalusian classics. During this lunch, Jan Gerard will provide an overview of the itinerary for the coming days. After lunch, we will check into our beautiful Andalusian accommodation, where we will be staying for the duration of the trip. At the end of the afternoon, there will be a walk through the Lecrín Valley.
For dinner this evening, we will head to a local restaurant for a wonderful night of tapas—simple, yet bursting with regional flavors. Local wines, for those who wish, will complete the meal.

Day 2 ~ The Alhambra & the soul of Granada

Today we immerse ourselves in the magic of the Alhambra. With an expert guide, we will discover the refined Moorish architecture, geometric perfection, and the tranquil gardens of the Generalife. It is an experience that touches on art, history, and spirituality. You could truly spend hours in the Alhambra and still discover something new. After the Alhambra, we will explore the historic center of Granada on foot. The narrow streets of the Albayzín, the impressive cathedral, and the lively squares bring the rich layers of Granada to life. This is a day full of impressions, history, culture, the experience of the Moorish era, and a deeper understanding of cultural values. Dinner this evening will be at a classic Spanish restaurant.

Day 3 ~ Sea, light & relaxation

After a few busy days, we drive to the Costa Tropical and reach Almuñécar, where mountains and sea meet. The salty air and Mediterranean light create a soothing sense of freedom. Lunch on the beach is relaxed and flavorful: fresh fish, good wine, and the sound of the waves in the background.
The afternoon is yours to spend as you wish: a walk along the coast, sitting on a terrace in the sun, or simply enjoying the view. Dinner this evening will consist of Spanish tapas dishes, enjoying all those delicious flavors together.

Day 4 ~ Wine, land & art

Today we visit the beautiful Bodega Muñana, situated high up with a view of the Sierra Nevada. Here we meet the winemaker, walk among the vines, and taste characterful wines that reflect the terroir. A delicious lunch captures the rural and authentic atmosphere, featuring plenty of local products, a good glass of wine, and great conversation.
In the afternoon, we opt for cultural enrichment with a visit to the Granada Capital Art Gallery, one of Granada's most renowned galleries located on the Gran Vía de Colón. This gallery showcases a high-quality selection of contemporary artworks by local and international artists. Whether modern art, Andalusian expression, or historical collections, there is always room for reflection. Dinner this evening is at Hotel Restaurant Elycium in the village of Melegis (El Valle). This amazing restaurant, run by the Dutch owner Jasmijn and her husband, chef de cuisine Michael, is a feast for the eyes; the beautiful dining room with a view of the kitchen exudes luxury and finesse with an eye for detail. Jan Gerard discovered Elysium in 2025 and noted that it was his best restaurant experience of the year. Jan Gerard wrote a lovely article about it for the magazine Por Favor Spanje.

Day 5 ~ A balanced conclusion

We conclude the trip as we began it: with peace and mindfulness. A group breakfast and conversation provide space to share memories and strengthen new friendships. Jan Gerard will personally see you off at the airport.
